libqaccessibilityclient -- Qt6 AT-SPI client lib. KWin uses it for accessibility (screen reader focus tracking). ship_in_iso=false.

BLFS general/libqalculate.html. A multi-purpose calculator library, added specifically because Plasma 6.7.5's plasma-workspace now hard-requires 'libqalculate>2.0' via pkg-config (a new REQUIRED dependency, confirmed directly in the real CMakeLists.txt -- not present as a blocker at 6.7.4). Provides libqalculate.so (used by KRunner's calculator runner) and the qalc CLI tool. Plain autotools, all three real dependencies (curl, icu, libxml2) already built in this project. --disable-static, docdir versioned. ship_in_iso=false, matching every other Plasma-workspace-only dependency in this project.

Qt6 implementation of freedesktop.org XDG specs (Qt6Xdg). Core LXQt dep. LXQt 2.4 minimal-but-real desktop stack, ship_in_iso=false (Packages-page / Package Manager install only, like KDE Plasma). Built on .101 against /opt/qt6-full + KF6 6.29. cmake/meson --libdir=lib for LinuxDoors' non-multiarch layout.

BLFS general/librsvg.html (SVG rendering library). Required by GIMP 3.2.4 directly, for both its own vector-icon rendering and its SVG file-import plugin. Previously declined twice in this project's history (adwaita-icon-theme, NetSurf's optional SVG support) specifically because it's Rust-only since 2.40 and no Rust toolchain existed at the time -- no longer a blocker now that a real rustc (built for the Firefox chain) and cargo-c (packages/cargo-c, built specifically for this) both exist. Skips the book's own doc-output-path sed fixup and the test suite (meson test -v) -- neither affects the actual shared library GIMP links against. Real crash found and fixed on the LinuxDoors test VM: librsvg's own 'pixbuf-loader' meson option (the GDK-Pixbuf SVG loader module, libpixbufloader-svg.so) defaults to DISABLED -- without it, gdk-pixbuf can't load any SVG at all ('Couldn't recognize the image file format'), which cascaded into a hard GTK abort when GIMP's own SVG app icon failed to load AND the theme's 'image-missing' fallback icon also wasn't found (`Gtk:ERROR: Icon 'image-missing' not present in theme`, `fatal error: Aborted`). Fixed with -D pixbuf-loader=enabled, plus a matching new unconditional `gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders --update-cache` step added to both engine/builder.py's _apply_to_lfs (server-side) and the client-side linuxdoors_pkg_backend.py's _apply_destdir -- same failure class as the already-existing glib-compile-schemas fixup (a loader .so landing on disk does nothing until the separate loaders.cache is regenerated).

LibSass -- Sass compiler C/C++ library. Build dep of sassc, which libadwaita needs to compile its stylesheet. ship_in_iso=false, built on .101.

2026-09-28: new package, a real, genuine build failure found via wlroots' own first build attempt (not guessed ahead of time): wlroots' session/seat handling requires `libseat` (from the real upstream kennylevinsen/seatd project -- NOT bundled or vendored, wlroots' own meson.build has a Meson wrap fallback that tries to auto-download it, which is disabled in this project since there's no network wrap-downloading infrastructure here). Built with `-Dlibseat-logind=systemd` (this project uses real systemd, not elogind) and `-Dlibseat-seatd=enabled` (the standalone seatd daemon/server, kept available as a real alternative even though the systemd-logind backend is what wlroots/labwc will actually use by default -- matches the already-proven-working pattern this project's own Session:: abstractions elsewhere use, e.g. kwin_wayland/mutter's real logind TakeDevice-based device ACL grants, confirmed working end-to-end for both GNOME and KDE Wayland sessions earlier this same day). `-Dlibseat-builtin=disabled` (an embedded seatd-in-process option, not needed -- the real systemd-logind path is what's wanted). No man pages built (`-Dman-pages=disabled` if it fails without docutils/scdoc -- check the real build log if this build fails on that).

libseccomp -- syscall filtering. gnome-desktop's thumbnailer sandbox needs it. ship_in_iso=false, built on .101. || Security/patch update 2.6.0 -> 2.6.1 (2026-10-08): real upstream tarball, archive integrity tested, sha256 computed from the download.

GNOME libsecret (Secret Service API client) -- kwalletd6 in KF6 6.29 pkg_check_modules(libsecret-1 REQUIRED). ship_in_iso=false -- KDE Plasma is a Packages-page / Package Manager install, deliberately kept off linuxdoors.iso (XFCE + MATE are the shipped desktops). Built on .101 against the existing KF6 6.29 + Qt6 (/opt/qt6-full) stack from the Kdenlive work.

2026-09-28: new package, first real step of the Budgie 10.10 Wayland chain (labwc's own build dependency -- provides libsfdo-basedir/libsfdo-desktop-file/libsfdo-desktop/libsfdo-icon, small XDG-spec helper libraries labwc uses for icon-theme and desktop-entry lookups). Real upstream jlindgren90/libsfdo (not the similarly-named forks under other GitHub orgs -- confirmed this is the actual author's repo, real tags v0.1.0-v0.1.3). No formal GitHub Release exists for this tag, just a git tag -- used the standard GitHub tag-archive URL instead of a release asset. Plain meson, ZERO external dependencies (verified directly against the real meson.build -- pure C11, only libc), so this was a trivial, fast, no-drama build -- the real complexity in this chain is entirely in wlroots/labwc/budgie-session/GTK3's Wayland backend, not here.

Type-safe callback system for C++ (the 2.0 / sigc++-2.0 API -- libsigc++-3.x is for gtkmm-4 only; gtkmm-3.0 and glibmm-2.66 need 2.x). meson build; --libdir=lib for the .101 multiarch-default gotcha. Part of the gtkmm-3.0 stack for mate-system-monitor. ship_in_iso:false.

libsndfile -- audio file I/O. Needed by pulseaudio's client lib. Built without FLAC/Ogg/Opus external codecs (WAV/AIFF only) -- pulseaudio only uses it for sample-cache/paplay. ship_in_iso=false, built on .101.

libsoup 3 -- HTTP client lib. GNOME Shell / gnome-settings-daemon / geocode use it. Built alongside the existing libsoup2 (parallel-installable). ship_in_iso=false -- GNOME Shell is a Packages-page / Package Manager install, kept off linuxdoors.iso (XFCE + MATE are the shipped desktops). Built on .101 against the existing rustc/llvm/p11-kit/librsvg/gi/glib2/pango/cairo stack; only the GNOME-specific libraries are new packages.

libsoup 2.x (the last 2.74 line). Needed because libmateweather 1.28 hard-requires libsoup-2.4 >= 2.34.0 (confirmed in its configure). Meson build. -Dvapi/-Dgssapi/-Dtls_check disabled; -Dsysprof disabled. NOT libsoup3.

libssh (the tiny C SSH library, OpenSSL flavour) -- NOT libssh2 (which this project already has for cargo/rustc; different library). Needed by packages/x2goclient, whose qmake .pro hard-requires `pkg-config --exists libssh` for its SSH transport. BLFS has a libssh page (general/libssh.html); built its way: cmake with -DWITH_GSSAPI=OFF (no krb5 in LinuxDoors, same reason packages/libtirpc disables it) and the OpenSSL backend (default). ship_in_iso=false -- only pulled in by x2goclient.

BLFS general/libssh2.html. Recommended dependency of Rustc (lets cargo link the system libssh2 instead of vendoring/building its own for git-over-ssh dependency fetches). Uses system OpenSSL (libgcrypt alternative not built).

Portable system-statistics library. lxqt-panel's cpuload / networkmonitor / sensors plugins hard-require it (find_library(statgrab) -> FATAL_ERROR otherwise). Plain autotools, no deps. LXQt 2.4 desktop, ship_in_iso=false.

NetSurf project (not BLFS/LFS). Lightweight SVG renderer -- this is what lets netsurf show basic SVG images WITHOUT librsvg (which needs Rust, declined per the project's no-Rust policy). Needs libwapcaplet + libxml2 (both already built).

Qt6 library for CPU/memory/network/disk stats. Used by the lxqt-panel sysstat widget. LXQt 2.4 minimal-but-real desktop stack, ship_in_iso=false (Packages-page / Package Manager install only, like KDE Plasma). Built on .101 against /opt/qt6-full + KF6 6.29. cmake/meson --libdir=lib for LinuxDoors' non-multiarch layout.

BLFS general/libtasn1.html (ASN.1/DER encoder-decoder). Part of the real GnuTLS chain -- see packages/libunistring/metadata.json for why this chain exists. Needed by both p11-kit and gnutls directly. Skips the test suite and optional GTK-Doc/Valgrind extras.

Transport-Independent RPC library. Needed only because packages/nx-libs uses the Debian nxagent binary, which is linked against libtirpc.so.3 (for XDR / the X font-server protocol). LinuxDoors' glibc does not provide the sunrpc/libtirpc split and no other package needed it before. Built from upstream WITH --disable-gssapi: Debian's own libtirpc pulls in the full MIT krb5 closure (libgssapi_krb5 -> libkrb5 -> libk5crypto -> ...) for RPCSEC_GSS, which nxagent does not use -- disabling it keeps this to a single small self-contained .so. --disable-static too (nothing links it statically). ship_in_iso=false: only reachable via packages/x2goserver. || Security/patch update 1.3.6 -> 1.3.8 (2026-10-08): real upstream tarball, archive integrity tested, sha256 computed from the download.

LFS ch8. Skips the optional make check.

BLFS general/libunistring.html (Unicode string library). Part of the real GnuTLS chain, needed because GIMP 3.2.4's meson.build unconditionally tests for a working glib-networking (a real, non-optional hard requirement, confirmed by reading the live meson.build directly -- the -D check-update=no option does NOT skip this check). Chain: libunistring + libtasn1 + nettle + p11-kit -> gnutls -> glib-networking -> gimp. Skips the test suite and doc install.

libusb 1.0 -- USB device access. Needed by libgusb -> colord -> mutter (GNOME 48). ship_in_iso=false, built on .101.

NetSurf project (not BLFS/LFS). UTF-8 processing library used by netsurf itself.
